The Certificate Program on the German-Chinese relations is comprised of specialized courses designed to provide participants with the fundamental knowledge to understand contemporary developments between Germany and China. Apart from examining significant issues such as economic cooperation, trade, the rule of law and cooperation in civil society, the program will also look to the future for chances of expanding the German-Chinese relations beyond trade and commerce, and will examine the possible role that cultural diplomacy can play in this respect.

Program Structure, Methodology & Curriculum »

The program will consist of a 2 week course held at the ICD in Berlin. It will give an overview of the current relationship between Germany and China, and trace its historical background. It will then address specific issues affecting the relationship. This thematic structure will prepare the participants to get the most out of the next part of the program.
